sage
A Pomodoro focus timer for Chrome.
Quietly built for the way you actually work.
A calmer way to focus.
Sage is a Pomodoro focus timer that lives quietly in your browser. Set a session, name your task, and Sage blocks distracting sites until you're done — no willpower needed. When you open a new tab mid-session, Sage replaces it with a calm grove view so you don't fall back into the rabbit hole.
Build multi-segment working sessions for deeper work, schedule blocking windows that match your real day, and review your focus history to see what's actually working. No streaks to guilt-trip you, no badges to chase — just the tools to do the work, and a quiet space to do it in.

Privacy
Sage is built around a simple principle: your focus practice is yours. Sage doesn't collect, transmit, store, or share any of your data with anyone, ever.
What stays on your device
All of your data — settings, blocked sites, working session configurations, focus history, license activation state, and anything else Sage uses — is stored locally in your browser via Chrome's built-in storage APIs. Nothing ever leaves your computer.
What Sage doesn't do
- No tracking. No analytics. No telemetry.
- No server — Sage has no backend that receives your data.
- No selling, sharing, or syncing your data with third parties.
- No accounts — Sage doesn't ask you to sign in.
- No ads.
Why Sage requests Chrome permissions
Sage requests several Chrome permissions to function. None of them transmit your data to any external service:
- storage — saves your settings, blocked sites, and focus history locally.
- alarms — powers the focus and break timers.
- notifications — alerts you when sessions and breaks end.
- tabs — replaces your new tab with the calm grove view during focus sessions.
- idle — supports the optional auto-pause-when-idle setting.
- declarativeNetRequest — blocks distracting sites during sessions, entirely on your device.
- offscreen — plays the optional session-end chime.
Future paid plan
When Sage Premium launches, license validation will involve a one-time check with Lemon Squeezy (the payment processor) to confirm your purchase. No focus or browsing data is sent during that check — only the license key itself.
Changes to this policy
If Sage ever changes how it handles data, this policy will be updated and the change will be visible in the next extension release.
